Hello friends

I would like to ask your help, I'm from Costa Rica and this is  the first time I receive an offer as expat, and more even from as far as Dubai.

The offer is to work in a company called Al Tayer, at Dubai, as IT manager having some people reporting to me,  which consists of the following:

- $ 45,000 - $ 50,000 monthly EAD (50% wage - 50% allowances)Note: This mix still being confuse to me.
- Corporate health-insurance for me and my family
- Vehicle
- between 40K and 60K annual bonus
- annually flights for the whole family to visit Costa Rica
- Relocation costs
- 30 holiday days a year
- Life Insurance
- Initial hosting -1 months (can be extended to 2)
- EAD-15K allowance for furniture and related topics

Honestly I have many doubts, questions, such as:

-Is this salary, poor, fair, good, excellent, based on the cost of living in Dubai? and to finally have good savings.

-Does are theBenefits acceptable?

-My children,  (6 and 3 years olds) do not speak English, as most just learning at school and I worry they can have some issues at school there.

- The rent cost topic worries me, as I understand it is expensive and in my case I want my family be comfortable, nothing to live in one room, but everyone has their own, which would be 3 rooms + common areas, besides be located in a very safe place.

-The religious theme, how it is handled there? how closed or open is the local culture in this topic? we are Catholic.

-Finally, there are Costa Ricans over there?

These are not all my concerns, I have many more but I need a cool head and the necesasry information to take decisions!

Thank all for your help

Regards from Costa Rica

Hello Allan,
I bet this is fair enough but what am confused about with all what u listed is, Are they paying in Dollars or d local currency here "DIRHAMS"

However, if they are paying in u in Dirhams, Dhs 50k/month is good enough for u and your family to leave Comfort. But this also depend on your own personal life styles

If you were being paid in USD. USD50k/month Omg, i bet u are among the richest Croatian expatriates in Dubai. U either leaves on Palm Jumeirah or Burj Khalifa

About your kids, u enroll them to Briton or American school here. They will mingle with friends and absorb Eng as time goes on.

Life is good in Dubai..

Regards
Felix.

Thanks fbhigh for your comment

The 50K are EAD, but I still confused with the "allowance" concetp.

Do should  I received the 50K in my bank account or just 25K every month since the company will pay the car, housing, etc?
