VungTauDon

I just wish I could find a good oven at a reasonable price

What kind are you looking for? I'm the self appointed local expert on electric stoves/ovens......

VungTauDon

I just want a "normal" oven like you would find in any US kitchen.
I've seen many of the cheaply made ones like Candy brand and even some of the cheaper Electrolux models but the ones I've seen usually cost upwards of 13-16 million and that just seems a little much for these "cheap" ovens.
I do have a new combo, microwave, grill, convection oven, but sometimes I would like to make a sheet of cookies or something :P

hi,i'm not  profesional,so i'm just using a normal oven(sanaky brand),hehe,btw,what can you bake(pizza,cake,...)?:)

VungTauDon

Oven From US
This is the type of oven/cooker I'm looking for

VungTauDon

I can make pizza and all kinds of casseroles. I enjoy baking cakes and cookies for my wife and child. My wife, who is Vietnamese, was very surprised when i first baked her a cake, before she only see in bakeries.
I have never tried to make bread but I would like to try someday

Low end:

Both electric.

VungTauDon

Thanks Budman, thats what I'm looking for. I have seen some like these but they looked cheap and the oven compartment was small. I want something I can make a good size pork roast in or cook a 12 pound turkey

Budman1

You can get the gas ones that the people above are using alot cheaper. I don't have that option my Dear wife of 40  years won't touch anything gas since our BBQ grill blew up about 12 years ago.

wow, these ovens are amzing, but i am a student now,so my current oven is good enough for me.i will buy a good one for sure, hehe
@VungTauDon:making bread is not too difficult, last time i tried Crescent roll and the result is not bad,hi

I loving cooking and baking, but I have been unable to find bakeware here in HCMC. Good quality cookware is also very hard to find. Anyone have information.

I thought the same and it took time for me to choose a cookware. A normal one-as I have 42litres- has been used for over 3 years without problems. There are just some basic rules for choosing a good bakeware.

Don't buy electric kitchen stuffs in Nguyen Kim.
