moving to malta is there many hairdressing jobs?

hi iam currently living uk im hoping to move to malta in july with my new husband and 2 young children we will be following my parents who are moving out in march im currently attending full time college in uk doing nvq level 2 hairdressing is there many jobs out in malta in hairdressing ?

Hi Angela,

just talked to a good friend who is a hairdresser and self-employed here in Sliema.Can really recommend her if you are looking for a really good cut etc.

She thinks there will be jobs but low-payed.Salary could be between 100 and 150 € per week .Tips would be extra.

Most hairdressers in Malta run their own business and might have a trainee with them if there is enough work.Training here in Malta is similar to the UK and takes about 2 years.

She suggested to look at places in bigger hotels.

Until 2011 you will have to apply for a work permit but they are usually granted without problems.

This all counts if you hold a UK passport. If not there will be the usual problems with 3 rd country nationals.
