Hi All

I'm working in Oman as engineer,

I received today a job offer from a company in Dubai, and I want to know what kind of tests or paper needed to have the work visa and how much time it will take?

I have a french passport

Otherwise , anyone to tell how long it takes to have the work visa?

Depending on the employer's initiative and how active their Government relations department is, the visa can be done from just one day, to any number of days.  On average you should expect 2 weeks. After the work visa is issued you can come into UAE, then do the medical exam with which you would get residence visa stamped.  Residence Visa may get a bit delayed as it now involves getting the Emirates ID also.
In any case, as a French national you can visit anytime even without the visa, then they can always issue an employment visa here.  All depends on the employer...

I asked the HR, they said that the offer letter is legaly enough and the contract will be signed when i come to dubai, so i can resign from my current employer,
is that true?

Hi,

one to two weeks max for the visa

if you are in free zone like Jabl Ali you can get your residence  in on week
