Hi i am urgently looking for a one month rental from 1st april onwards. pls let me know if you happen to know someone renting or if you have one available. thanks much!

Sorry, it is not allowed (by law) to rent out residential property for durations below 6 months.
Even if you find somebody willing to do that, be very careful - you may be cheated and you have no legal or other recourse in that case!
By the rules, you have to stay in a hotel or serviced apartment. Those start at S$60/night (hotel) or S$2500/month (one-room serviced apartment).

thanks beppi! does this apply for private apartments too? there is one agent I found who says the ruling apply to mostly hdb and the apartment he is marketing is on enbloc sale so its ok.

The rule applies to all and has no exceptions.
But I know such under-the-table dealings exist, so pursue it at your own risk.
(Singapore property agents are not known to be a generally honest or trustworthy bunch.)
