hi
My husband got an offer from muscat.
Everything is ok. when he went for medical test in Chennai they told that a flaky red patch in his leg seems to be psoriasis.
They told him that if it is psoriasis then he is not fit to work in Muscat. Is anybody aware of this, we are worried, please let me know the details about this.
thanks.
vanathy.

Sir,
I am an Indian national currently working in Bahrain. Now I received an job offer from Oman and I would like to join there; I would like to request you to kindly clarify my below doubts regarding Oman work visa.
1) My current employer in Bahrain is not ready to give me exit from Bahrain. So is it possible to get Oman work visa without cancelling my Bahrain work visa? (I have already spoke to the Oman employer and Oman embassy in Bahrain and both of them replied it does not make any issues)
2)Can I do my medical examination test for Oman visa in Bahrain? If yes please explain the procedure.
Please help me by sending your kind reply.

A Visa Medical is standardized procedure that is to be done from the dedicated medical centers in a region/city.
It includes the regular tests, like BP, Sugar, HIV, Heart and any Physical fitness that is required accordingly.
The medical test report is the first document, required to process the visas (work / resident permits). The medical tests are standard for all the countries and not just Pakistan.
Trust this would help.
Hi
I got an employment offer from Oman, thus proceeded for GAMCA medical during the month of Aug 2014 from Delhi but due to VISA processing delay from the employer the medical reports validity is expired thus I had go for medical again and this time I had done it from Mumbai. Now the problem is in the first time I was declared FIT and doing the same medical within a span of 4 months without changing my lifestyle, My reports shows some Liver related problems, i.e., the medical centre states the SGPT value is high. thus I have some querries,
1. How genuine are these medical centres???
2. does the genuinity depend on the location of the medical centre???
3. Will there be medical test conducted in OMAN after this medical done here in India???
4. If I am having doubt with the reports of One GAMCA medical centre thus can I go for the tests again from any other GAMCA medical centre.
HI abhishek926,
Find some quick comments marked against your queries below :
1. How genuine are these medical centres??? - They are as genuine as you can get. As the acronym says GAMCA stands for 'GCC Approved Medical Centers Association' or 'Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association'. Since these are the approved ones, one assumes that they maintain a certain basic standard.
2. does the genuinity depend on the location of the medical centre??? - No, not really.
3. Will there be medical test conducted in OMAN after this medical done here in India??? - Yes, before you go for getting your resident card. But this will only be a basic blood test and a superficial physical screening.
4. If I am having doubt with the reports of One GAMCA medical centre thus can I go for the tests again from any other GAMCA medical centre. - You can. But from what I hear these reports are synced digitally. So replication of reports may not be possible.
However, let the other forum contributors also share their views.
Good luck.
Thank u sir

Hi Santoshima,
As long as you are now TB-free you will be fit for travel.
Good luck.
Dear Friends,
I am Bhagatsingh from Tamilnadu at India.
I got an offer as a Engineer(BE-EEE) from Oman (Govenment project) and they asked me to take medical test from GAMCA. I did there but they said medically i am unfit in x-ray due to clavicle fracture and hereafter i can't atten medical test from any GAMCA centre for 6 months.
Note: I got clavicle fracture on my right hand side in the year of april 2007 and i cleared all at the same time. After that i went to Kuwait then Oman and then Kuwait again after getting the medical clearance only but now GAMCA refused me due to this issue, so i checked with ortho doctor who cleared my problem on 2007, he checked again from x-ray and told me everything is perfect and all joined, no issue on this and finally he gave me a letter for the clearance with his ortho doctor stamp and sign. i showd this ortho doctor letter and x-ray to GAMCA again but they didn't consider.
In this case company giving me option to come by express visa, then do the medical test from private hospital in oman and then we can go for MOH for employment visa. if my medical fit company will pay for all, if i failed in that medical i have to pay all my expenses like flight ticket with return, visa, medical, F&A etc..
Now i need 2 informations:
(1) With this issue, If i come to oman in express visa now can i get medical clearance from one private hospital and Ministry of Health to change my visa from express visa to employement visa?
(2) Company asking me to send my original degree certificate for applying express visa (21 days valid). they need my original certificate for this visa?
Kindly give me any solution for this issue.
Thanks and i am waiting for your kind response.
Regards,
Bhagat
Hi BHAGATSINGH,
If all is really well, as your second doctor has certified, why then did they reject your x-ray report at the GAMCA clinic ? And even after seeing the specialist's clearance letter, why did the GAMCA doctor refuse to alter the results from 'unfit' to 'fit' ?!? Unless they see valid reason for rejecting you, why should they ?
By taking the risk on yourself wholly and solely, you can come on an Express Visa and get your medicals done here in Oman. If all goes well, then it's fine. But in case of any issues, then what ? This is something you must give some serious considerations.
No visa can be converted. This is a much discussed topic in the forum. Suggest you read the various discussions on that for a better understanding.
Another much discussed subject is about the issue of sending the original certificates. It is way too risky to part with the originals.
nice information
this are various tests they check @for GCC countries...Can VIEW MORE ABOUT MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS @

You can go to any GAMCA approved medical labs / clinic in the UAE and get the prescribed tests done.
HI,
I have resident visa in Oman and I want to call my family on family visa. However, the PRO has said that I need to get GAMCA for my wife only and not for children. There is no GAMCA centre in my city and travelling to other city would be very difficult for my wife. Is it possible that I can call them on Visit visa and then get the GAMCA done in Muscat and then apply for Family Visa. Else will these approved centre will have branches in other cities like Patna (not listed above) through which GAMCA can be done.

Hi bikash1979,
Though you can get your wife to do her medicals here in Oman, it would be better if she gets the tests done in India itself since otherwise she would have to exit and reenter again on family joining visa.
Hi,
I got my Oman resident Visa and now I want to bring my family on family visa. My PRO said that I need to get GAMCA only for my wife and not my Kids below 7 years. There is no GAMCA approved clinics in my city and it would be difficult for my family to go to other city for test. Is it possible that I get them on a Visit Visa and then later get the test done here in Muscat. Else will there be branches of these approved clinics in other cities like Patna, from where these test can be done. Kindly advise.

Dear all,
I need your help this query.....I was working in Oman I resigned from my company.I was working more than 5 years. Now someone will sponsor to me as visit visa he is omani. But I don't have noc from my last employer and not even one year finish since I resigned. My new sponsor said he will give me a release only if I got new employer in Oman.My question is the release from my sponsor in visit visa is valid?or do I still need noc from my last employer in Oman?I'm here in Dubai now as visit visa..but I exited in Oman twice from the time I resigned my job.I want to come back Oman as visit visa and apply job.
Hi Michaelcabuenas11,
No NOC, no return for 2 years.
You can come back within 2 years if your last employer is willing to reappoint you.
Otherwise the answer has to be a no for a return - with whatever visa.
Hii All

Dear ! I have Positive result for HCV but PCR (Detailed Report of Hep C) cleared me. Doctor says Once Hep C is positive,it will remain positive forever. Is there any thing that we can do about it As i have an opportunity for Oman ?
Well I don't think so and only medical doctors can answer. My father have same problem and it's still positive after 3 years. Spoke to doctor and he said if we start curing this will cause more problems for him so we give up.
