For some odd reason...they need an equivalence of our ACCA membership...this can be obtained from HEC who require your original transcripts and membership certificates. This shall take 10 or so working days...once u have that ..get it attested from hec mofa..saudi cultural and then the consulate.  That will be acceptable to the istiqadam

I followed the exact same procedure. I got my equivalence certificate from HEC, and after attestations from Saudi Authorities, I got my visa stamped and Alhamdulillah I am working in KSA now.
The problem arrived today. I went to Istaqdam for family visa today. They saw my equivalence attested and refused to process family visa on that. They said original degree is not attested (ACCA membership certificate is never attested in Pakistan).
Any idea what I need to do now ?

Yes Socpa gave me membership. But istaqdam refused to process visa.

Taseer, getting any kind of equivalence will not help. It will only further spread out and complicate the attestation process and your ACCA certificate will remain unattested.

Since ACCA is a UK based qualification, so simply get the ACCA membership certificate attested from the Saudi Embassy & Culture office UK. No need to get involved with HEC or authorities from any other country.

The process is extremely straightforward and you will not face any issues when getting ACCA certificate attested from Saudi Culture Office/Embassy in UK. I myself and many of my friends who are ACCA qualified got our certificates attested from UK and it all went without a hitch. Your country of origin does not matter. The Istikhdam people, just want to see Saudi Culture Office/ Embassy & MOFA seals, no matter which country you get the attestations from. So just go that way and all will be fine.

Yes Insha ALLAH i will be doing this now. I got visa here on the basis of that equivalence (m.com from HEC). But it is not useful anymore.

I have contacted several persons in U.K and all are saying they can get attestation on a black and white photocopy, since U.K laws do not allow attestation on original certificate. Is it Ok to for istaqdam officials ? any experience ?
since I am afraid of these people, they might say then "no your original degree is not attested".

Hi Taseer,

I had the same confusion when I was getting my own CIMA certificate attested. Only the black and white copy was attested.

But this is an official rule in the UK and the Saudi Culture Office, Saudi  Embassy, MOFA KSA and Istikhdam all seem to be well aware of this rule regarding the UK. I faced no issues at any stage.

The process is very usual for UK expats who are working in KSA. I myself am from Pakistan, but the MOFA and Istikhdam did not even demand my original certificate when they saw UK Embassy stamp on black and white photocopy

Just make sure that on your Visa Application Form, you write the level of Qualification as 'Masters' rather than 'Professional Qualification'. The term 'Professional Qualification' will just confuse the person processing your application and since ACCA is already equivalent to a Masters, so its better to use a term which is better understood in KSA.

Yes I have written masters on my application form. Insha ALLAH will now be sending my certificate for attestation in U.K and will try again later.

Thanks for your help brother. Jazak ALLAH.

I handed over my attested ACCA membership to the government services department of my company yesterday, and I found out today that my application had been rejected because the government does not hand out family visa on the basis of "memberships".

Seriously bummed out right now since I'd assumed from this thread that it wouldn't be a problem.

Just wanted to share with all.
Especially the ones with professional qualification

This is not the case that professional qualifications are not accepted for family visa
This is a complete mis conception

I am only CIMA qualified like ACCA
Without any"degree" I have been given family visa Allahumdulilah without any need for equavalence from hec or London.

There is also no rule that if your profession got changed so you are eligible to apply for family visa after six months...

The only thing which i needed was help from my HR
My HR head went with me & he explained in Arabic what my qualification means..n he gave the family visa without any objection.
There was absolutely no need for showing hec equalivalence or transcript

Yes the visa officer did verify the attestations on my certificate !

So I have understood that in KSA everything can be done.if your hr is supporting you

There is no need to worry all those with Acca's Cima's or.CA's...

Sir, thank you for giving life to us by sharing such valuable experiences. Sir, may I know for profession change do they require attestation of professional certificate or not?

zulkhar

You have to approach Delhi Licensed agents.

So how was I able to change my profession?

That was the advantage of being in the amnesty period.

I remember your case. I advised you to give it a try. It seems like it is not working for you. Do take the mandoob as a last resort.

Sir,

I am a dependent under my father. I am in the process of transferring to the company. Will they ask attested documents to change my profession to Accountant?

What was the amnesty period you were referring to, was it easy to change profession in that period?

Please reply !!!

I am also processing for my family visa these days buy unfortunately they did not accept my attested Acca membership raising the point that it is not a degree and now I am stuck. I was told by the guy to visit the ministry of eductaion. I have completed all the other requirements of istiqdam.
