That is clearly my mistake for not putting a quote to the said statement. I am planning to resign before my contract ends so I will be the one to buy my own ticket. Will they let me to buy a ticket going to another country instead of going to my point of origin which is the Philippines? Or should I buy a ticket that has a stop over in dubai then cancel my flight going to Philippines the moment I am in dubai? Using the second option should I tell them that I will stay long to another country? Thanks in advance HRGuru!

For Saudi Authorities, a person with Final exit is leaving the country permanently and it does not matter to them to where you are leaving to and neither its their business as long as you have valid visa / documents to another country. If you are buying the ticket ,  no one can stop you. You can get this to any place you want provided you are legally eligible to go there.

HrGuru,

What if my company gives me a reentry visa instead of an exit visa although I already pass my resignation letter? Will I be able to buy a ticket going to Dubai or they won't allow me to buy one?

If you have ERE or final exit, as long as you have valid documents to enter UAE, you can go there any time in any way.

If you are already given final exit, then you cannot transfer the sponsorship locally. You will have to exit and then come back unless your sponsor takes it up to cancel the exit he has given you and then releases you to another. What are the chances of that happening ??

You can insist, but then your sponsor also has rights in you fulfilling your contract obligations or you will have to pay the necessary compensation or expenses he incurred in getting you here. Your best chances in knowing all legal issues is to get in touch with your embassy and they will advice you as to how to proceed.

Thank u HRGURU for ur quick response but I didnt sign any contract here or in philippines does that mean am working illegal here?

Paula1957

According to me you are illegal if you did not sign any contract

net0424

Tnx paula... but i hv iqama dunno how did they do it. So i really need to go in our embassy and ask them what to do.

Just b'z you haven't signed a contract does not mean that you are illegal. Your employer might have something or could prepare an agreement. In your case to know more options in your case I recommend that you get in touch with your embassy and they have lawyers who can guide you better.

This is my first time to join in this blog. Just a concern only. I have a boyfriend living now and taking his Final Exit in Hofuf and now they told if you are in Final Exit you need to go back to origin. And the employer will send you in the airport. Can he go here in Dubai? If I will apply a visit visa. He can go here? Does the employer see to it that He will go back to Philippines? Please help me with my problem. Thank u!

Once the final exit is issued, the employer usually has to give a one way ticket as per the contract to the employee to his point of origin which is his country usually. It does not prevent him from travelling to Dubai from KSA provided he has the visa and ticket to Dubai.  He can cancel or refund the ticket issued by the employer and take from his side a ticket to Dubai if he has already secured a visit visa to Dubai.

Is there any more possibilities that the airport authority will barred you from leaving even if you already are secured with a Final Exit Visa?

If all documents are in order, the airport authority nor the immigration wont have any reason to detain you.

hello HR Guru, good day..

my concern is that, my friend is planning to go here in Dubai from KSA, he will finished his contract on January but decided to have an early end of his contract instead if January he will end this December, he said that his employer will provide him an exit visa BUT WILL NOT PROVIDE HIM HIS RETURN TICKET TO HIS COUNTRY OF ORIGIN since he will not finish his contract. He is planning to come here in Dubai an will buy his own ticket and visa. My question is, if he has NO RETURN TICKET to his country origin will it be a concern once he enters in Dubai airport? Will there be any problem if he has no return ticket to his origin ? i mean will the immigration here in Dubai check for his return ticket to his country of origin since his visa in entering here is only visit visa? Or should he buy his own return ticket to his country of origin?

Thank you so much in advance and hoping to hear from you very soon.

It all depends on how is he going to enter UAE. Since he is no longer a resident of GCC and leaving on final exit from one GCC country, he should have a valid visa to enter UAE. If he has a visa then there is no issue if he arriving there from any place, as long as he has an onward journey ticket from Dubai.

marniedano67

yes, he will buy his own ticket and visa and me as a sponsor,

thank you so much for your quick reply.

No, if you are already issued final exit visa you cannot apply for a dependent visa or visit visa.

Same situation with sean i just want to ask if its ok if i will not cancel the ticket that the employer bought for me? And do i need a return ticket to the philippines upon aarival in dubai airport?? Does the immigration there search for it! Hope to hear from u soon

HRGuru

You can leave to any place you like as I mentioned before as long as you have exit in your passport from KSA and you have valid visa to enter the other country you are planning to go. As for the ticket from the employer, you can ask him to cancel this, just saying you will pay for this from your pocket rather than letting him know your intentions. If not try to get cash in lieu for the ticket, or see if you can cancel / refund this ticket.

My employer provided me a ticket where the destination was my home country which is the Philippines . I just go to any Saudia office nearby (since my ticket was Saudia)  to change the location and date of the said ticket so there'll be no need to buy a new one which is more expensive. When I arrive in Dubai last Feb 2016, the immigration did not check for a return ticket to Philippines.  :D

Bratinellathezzy

Thanks for your reply sir i am bit relief

Well , it's a procedure to have return or onward tickets .

These are the immigration rules in almost all countries .
It's always helpful to get a 100% refundable ticket , incase immigration stops you .

The visit visa I have at that time was valid for 3 months and maybe that's the reason why they did not search for a return ticket since I have a lot of time to buy one. Well, in case the immigration needs a return ticket then I'll just buy there on the airport.

gunner757

Well , it all depends on the different immigration officers .
And they don't ask every other passenger  .

It also depends on your luck.
Just be on the safe side .

Bratinellathezzy

Is that possible u can buy it in the airport if they asked for it? Will they allow you to do that ??? My visa is same as yours 3 months visit visa

gunner757

Do you think you will be able to buy it at the airport ?
Do you think there will be airline counters before immigration checkpoints ?

Look , buy a fully refundable ticket , that's the simplest and hassle free option .

Bratinellathezzy

Ok then thanks for that explanations sir! I think I'll be choosing the safe side now 😊😊😊

athran

You can just follow what Gunner757 said if you still have money to buy a fully refundable return ticket.

Allan106

Good day! I hope you are all fine.
1. My new company already issued my final exit.  But when I went to the airport immigration and put my finger on the scanner. The officer told me, I have a problem that I have to clear from the past. Ok, I went to the concerned government agency, they said that my record is already cleared, I double check with the JAWASAT here at Riyadh office and it's also cleared they can't find any issues. But,  when I went back to the airport immigration to confirm that if it's cleared? The issue is still there. Please advice.

2. During the time that I'm checking and clarifying my issues, I forgot that my passport had expired the day I was doing my clarification. Can I still exit Saudi Arabia? My exit visa is valid for 60 days.

HRGuru

You cannot leave to anywhere with an expired passport, you need to renew it during the exit period, update your records in jawazat and then exit.

Allan106

HI! Thank you for your quick response.
Anyway, even my destination is my own country?

HRGuru

Even if you are going to your own country, how can you travel with an expired passport ????

Owyet1979

What are the next step we are doing b4 we leave the country? because I have final exit.

HRGuru

If you have the exit already then there isn't much that you need to finish other than canceling your tel lines and credit card if you have. Other than that you are cleared to leave.
