Want to Relocate, Tired of USA

expatgene

I work in Cameroon, Africa presently, and I'm interested with living in S. Africa full time. I have a co-worker from Sunwich Port and he says it really nice. I like the beach, nite life, city, eating out, pubs, etc.

Just not sure if they have that atmosphere there where he lives. What is Durban like and is it close to the beach.

Also, have you been to Cape Town?  I hear Cape Town has a lot of things going on there. I really enjoy city life, and don't want to be to isolated. Any advise you can offer would be great.

I'm interested with buying a really swank 1 or 2 bedroom house near the water if possible?

I think Cape Town would be the place to be. Visited there a few times and absolutely loved it. I think it's a lot nicer than Durban, definitely has a livelier feel to it. And it's just gorgeous! You can definitely find places near the water in Cape Town.
