Living Costs in Kuwait

Steve3370

Hi Guys,

I'm really sorry if anyone has already read this, I'm new to the forum and I have re posted under a new title.

I have the opportunity to teach in Kuwait from September. The offered salary is fractionally below 1100KWD per month plus free accommodation, flights home, medical etc. All bills are paid for except gas.

Ideally I would like to spend only 350KWD per month and save the rest. I will buy a car, but I already have the cash for that.

Do you think this is realistic or not? I won't be buying alcohol, but I would like to go out for meals at weekends.

Anything like visiting other countries or buying from the shopping malls will obviously have to come out of my savings so I'm not counting that at the moment. I just really want an idea of how much buying food (fairly simple food, not caviar!), running a car and small day to day expenses will cost. Also, sorry I will want some form of internet access but I'm not that fussed on TV.

I hope this makes sense!!!

Thanks,

Steve
