Hi. I am new here.

I am living and working in Malaysia.

I am interested in singing/gospeling and want to join a club where I can sing songs and meet people, but I have found nothing so far. Does anyone here have any information about such a club, preferrably in KL area?

Thanks.

Maximilien

Hi smileyfacexx,

Welcome to Expat-blog :)

I'm sure you will find members sharing the same interest in singing and gospeling :)

Thank you

Hi coooolguy_tdh and FZInAL,

Thank you for the info.

The closest I can get seems to be The Warehouse. What I was actually looking for is like this:

klsings.com/p/about-klsings.html

I tried to get in touch with them, but it seems that they no longer exist. Does anyone know what happened to them or if there is any group similar to this one?

Alternatively if you like to learn singing either professionally or just take it up as a hobby, you might wanna contact a fellow expat-blog member.

Thanks for the info. It's more like a hobby, but I would like to join a group of people that gets together every now and then to have fun rather than going to lessons. I wonder if anyone knows such a group.

Finally there is a karaoke place on Changkat Bukit Bintang that has two large rooms, one non-smoking, where anyone can join in and pick a song and perform for everyone there - its called Davey Jones Locker and is upstairs to Front Page. Entrance at the lefthand side of 21.

Hi Jacqueline,

Hope it's not too late to wish you Happy New Year! How are you doing? You must have just arrived this week and settling down slowly. Hope all goes well.  Our first choir rehearsal for 2018 is starting tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. and if it's not too overwhelming for you at this stage (considering your move and all), why not come over and have some lighter moments with us and music! However, it is perfectly understandable if you just want to have a quiet night in.

Just thought I will let you know that we are open tomorrow.

Cheers,
Shamala

JacquelineR

Hi Shamala, thank you for remembering. Yes, I’d like to come this evening. Please can you confirm the address and start time? Thank you, Jacqueline

Sham26

I’ll be using Grab Car, so is there a coffee shop or somewhere that I can direct the driver to? The address is coming up as Cosan’s Coffee Cascades. Thank you.

Hi Jacqueline, you can use "Cosans Coffee" or "Dataran Cascades" to get to the location mentioned by Shamala.

The building is located next to Giant Kota Damansara. In front of the building, there is Affin Bank and Cosans Coffee, you will need to walk in pass this two shops into the parking (B2) to get to the lift to LG floor (make sure not to take the lift in front of Affin as it will not bring you to LG floor) At LG floor, find animamundi (right hand side as you exit the lift). go behind animamundi, (turn left) and take the lift up to level 3.

I happen to be in this choir too ^_^

See you tonight!
