Depends on your needs cost of living may vary place to place. I don't know what kind of facility you need in your house/apartment/villa. For a single life I think $600-1000 enough If you want more luxury, surely you can spend lavishly!
Yes, there has places where Americans living. But what is the use of that kind of place if they are unwilling to mingle?
Better you should live near Vietnamese, so they will help and love more than you think! That's from my life

Your clothes size will definitely be a problem. However, you can always get your clothes tailored.
You have sufficient funds to live well. How well will depend on the extras.
