I need pie!

What? You have an eatery (and with an oven) and you don't make pie? What's wrong with you???

I have one of these little convection ovens too. It's ok for some things, but it has its drawbacks of course so I use it sparingly. I am REALLY going to love having a real oven again when I go back to the west.

I see the cravings have moved on to Thanksgiving. I do miss cooking a real Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings for a houseful of friends. Sigh.

Oohhh....now I can SMELL Thanksgiving!

I beg to differ, Tran Hung Dao: it's called Turkey Day for the infamous history of 2-legged turkeys destined to squabble and induce clan warfare....as well as the aftermath of stuffed turkeys lying around after the festivities of the holiday table and the clan football wars.

But Turkey it is on Turkey Day because if the cook doesn't produce that huge golden brown turkey on the holiday table, then the  hungry natives are liable to string me up like one.

Tongue-in-cheek in all seriousness of course.

It might just be from the Turkey Industry lobby brainwashing children so they can get a spotlight on the ONLY day in the whole year where they can sell turkey instead of playing second fiddle to  chicken.
