@Tran Hung Dao  Great response. Been married to a Vietnamese lady since January in Las Vegas, of all places! She doesn't like perfume, flowers are a waste of money she says to me... Something personal from your country, preferably MADE IN YOUR COUNTRY and not VN or CN. Yes, VN Customs tax everything inbound so be prepared to send her some money to pay the tax so she can take possession.

Hopefully the OP is still alive, having asked the question in 2013...
I do believe
Only once in my 14 years living in Vietnam did I receive my post from Canada. Sending to Vietnam by any way other than courier is a crap shoot.
