for example . i am a Viet kieu with 5 year visa exemption and will apply for residency. I am an Australian citizen. Can bring my vehicle in from China from my office over their? (as they drive on the same side and the steering wheel is on the same size)

People ship household goods here all the time. How much customs duty you pay depends on the company you get to ship your stuff. Some moving companies are better-connected with VN customs officials than others. As a rule-of-thumb, the more you pay the moving company, the less likely you'll pay a lot of duties, and vice versa. It's all a game. As for your car, you're probably better off leaving it in China.

i heard that a used car bought in by a viet kieu is free of duty. the problem is their is no point bring my car from australia as the steering column is on the wrong side, so is it possible to bring in a car from cambodia or china...like literally drive it across the border after doing all the paper work?
