Hello and introducing my blog!

Post new topic

Hello Everybody,

My name is Saskia and I recently moved to Brazil with my husband. As a way to learn more about the Brazilian culture I decided to start a food blog, learning to cook all of the amazing foods that Brazil has to offer. I recently added my blog to the Expat.coms, but wanted to personally introduce myself and my blog to all of you.

Please take a look at it. My recent posts include '100 Things To Try When You Come to Brazil'!!!!

Nice blog.

However, as someone used to Belgian beer, I don't understand item 61. IMHO, Brazilian beer is only good if it's served so cold it freezes your taste buds :D

For me pastel de feira is doing well on 18th, but I miss Bolinho de Aipim, which for me would go way up in the list.

Hi lawyer_Rio,

Glad to hear you liked my blog. In regards to my recent post, there is no specific order to the 100 dishes. I did not attempt to put it in any order (maybe that is something to think about for the future.... Top 10 things to eat in brazil)! About the choppe, it made the list in large post because going out to a bar in Brazil  is a different experience than a lot of other countries. I will have to try Bolinho De Aipim.

On behalf of the entire Expat-blog Team, welcome on board. I hope your experience here will be both enjoyable and informative.

As an expat who has a passion for cooking and for Brazilian cuisine I really enjoyed your blog. I can tell you that after being here for over eleven years now I've tried almost everything on your list of 100, except dobradinha (won't even come close to it), cachaça (profoundly alergic), and picole de abacate (simply never seen one yet).

You might find the recipes that I have posted here on the blog of interest. Hope you will try them if you haven't already done so.

Thanks for sharing your blog with us and please keep up the good work.
