WORKING IN OMAN AS A DENTIST

HI, I HAVE BEEN OFFERED THE POST OF DENTIST IN A MEDICAL CENTRE IN QURIYAT , MUSCAT. THE DETAILS FROM THE EMPLOYER  ARE AS FOLLOWS---

Job details

Name: GP dentist

Dental Department

Salary: 600 Omani Rials  per month

Off: one day per week

Annual leave: 30 days with paid basic Salary

Ticket : one time per year economy class

Working hours : 9 hours per day

It is contract job for two years and can be renew.

Accommodation will be separate Room with toilet and kitech with other staff.we are providing Ac with single bed with cubord and small fringe for u only.

electric bill will paid by u in accommodation  you will provide for your self food and no cooking inside medical centre.

no travel allowance ... we already provide transportation from and to medical centre for u

Your basic salary mean if you out of your duty like annual leave we will pay a basic salary
Basic salary will be 400 OMR

For family visa not my hand depend on Oman lmegration low but we will help u as maximum to provide u .


WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ????? KINDLY ADVISE.

Are you asking if you should accept it or not? You want to know if the salary is enough to live with your family in Muscat? Maybe if you have a look at other topics concerning cost of living in Muscat can help you to get an idea.

yes i want to know that---

1] whether i should accept the job offer or not ?

2] And whether the salary and other benefits they have offered are sufficient or not ?

by the way the medical centre is located in quriyat town of muscat.

3] If i live alone , then how much according to you will i be able to save per month after deducting food, electricity bills  ?

hi ,,600 or is gud amount here in oman,per as doc it is little bit less.its depned how much earning in ur home country,,if they providing accomodation then u hav to pay for ur food n electricity bill n transportaion. this wll not be higher than 200 or..with average lifestyle. u can save 400 easily..duty hours r little bit more.it should be not more than 8hrs per dAY..other wise its gud offer but its all depend hw much u earning in ur country,,

Hi,

From a legal point of view, please make sure you get all the terms and conditions written in your employment agreement, everything means EVERYTHING. There is a tendency among the employers to give a very basic contract and do not cover all the details. The suggestion of annual increment is a good one as there is no statutory provision as to annual increment for expat employees.
