Duxx

Any knows some place with good offer of school bags for kids?

I'm trying to find a store who would have not just the plain ones, but also with pictures since my son wants a pirate or batman school backpack

Hi, basically all stationary/newsagents, etc offer school backpacks, but as the school already started they are replacing them by halloween/christmas stock. We wanted the opposite, not pictures/ cartoon characters, etc, and it was not easy to find as my son only started school and the plain bags were for older children/ adults.

You can try CopyCat Gzira stationary opposite the Azzopardi fisheries, Squire books close the Gzira church and there is an other one opposite the church.

Have to say I was shocked to see the large size of back packs and the way they are carried by children out here. The damage they must be doing to their backs through incorrect carriage and the obvious excessive weight that is carried seems inevitable.

Yes Red, it has been a dispute for years.... Technically it is suppose to be no more than 10% of their body weight. They argue that it is the kids responsibility to only carry the necessary books. The secondry schools can send pupils home to sort bags out. They need to be big enough for a4 folder. However ssometimes the necessary books are just too many! I tried a trolley bag once but they are banned.

Not just the weight but the way they are carried is a concern but then as we know just try showing, explaining or telling that to a child/youth :/

I buy my kids backpacks from Ebay. For some reason they are very expensive here.
