Hi,
I need help regarding employment termination without pay.  Hired by an agent, upon arrival I was told verbally that my job is legitimately secured, after six weeks then was told I need to exit the country, they can't find placement for me. No salary will be paid only my ticket will be purchased. All this while they verbally promised that I have a job.

Please help me do I have a right to a salary though I didn't work? What are my grounds in this situation?  because I believed their word that I have a job.

Sorry to hear about the situation and the inconvenience.

Did you sign any contract or similar document (say a job offer letter)? ANYTHING in black and white?

Chillyb

I have signed the initial contract with them.

I'm sure you'd have checked for any terms and conditions in there; specifically about the starting day of work/pay. If a proper contract wasn't signed by both parties, I'd not be very positive that you'd get the pay/compensation.

Yes, they have signed the contract too, but they didn't find a placement for me. So, ever since my arrival the terms in the contract were not carried out. I also have emails proving that.
