Looking to bring my cars in from UAE, can I?

Right, I have got the "introduction" out of the way for a new member, now the question:

I love cars and all things automotive (on 4 wheels), the question i need to ask is if I can import older cars into KSA. I currently have 4 cars but if I came over I would only be bringing two with me.

One is a 1997 BMW M3 Evo - my baby, and
the other is a 2007 Chevy Silverado.

Are there any age restrictions on bringing cars into KSA as there is in Qatar (5 years old)? Is the process of bringing them in fairly simple - I know the process from this side of the border, but unsure about what happens on the KSA side of it?

Is it a simple matter of de-registration here, export papers, customs clearance, ship by truck to KSA, get them in and then go through the test/inspection etc and get insurance and away we go?

Feedback would be very welcome.

Thanks

Any

Yes, and not the crap 3.0 5 mt version, but the Evo which is the 3.2l straight six, 6 MT version - modified, but not a lot (I think hahahaha)

Anybody care to offer any advice?

This is something only a handful of people have done, and I doubt they are on here.  Perhaps a google search would bring up anecdotes.

Thanks for that. Actually looks fairly do-able. I will do a bit of research this end as well.

Based on the amount of damage I have seen on almost all the cars here I don't think you would want to bring them here anyway.

It will be no different to what we experience here in UAE. Some I know describe the driving here in UAE worse than KSA.
