You can also use the buses which are much more cheaper than taxis.  They charge SAR2 from Olaya to Al Batha.

:o The OP is a lady and using those buses is prohibited for her.

Oops, then she can walk in order to reduce cost. or alternatively, let her hubby buy her a car and get herself a driver.

Do you have a GPS on your phone?  Use it.

hehehehe! That's another ordeal. No offence but honestly, I have seen just a few females in my life who know how to read maps correctly. I know a few who confuse left with right and vice versa :dumbom:

Sorry to say but I actually drive back home, using a GPS is no problem, for me,  problem was my third day In Riyadh with out the GPS, and just jotting the address down thinking these taxi driver will know where they are going.

So I totally disagree that you say only few women know how to read maps.

Oh come on! Seems you've taken that seriously.

That's how I nag Allie often. Argumentation-al teasing what I call it :P

Sit back and watch. Paws are somewhere around. Shhh...

Lol! please  don't think I took it seriously, the thing is I often hear men say that about women that they can't read maps, they can't drive properly, or park their cars.
I was just making a point that women can read maps they probably better drivers then men.

Anyway that is another topic to discuss later on.

Alliecat u have been here for  3 years, how do you survive here without boredom?

Anyway I have gone into thinking process whether I should continue to stay, or head back home.

Yeah, then there are the buses, but I feel like their drivers are manning the wheels with a blindfold on!

These buses are not air conditioned, so would be a real pain to use most of the year, even if you were a guy!
