Why do we fall in love?

With me, it's my amazingly magnetic personality, by Greek god like body, my wonderful sense of humour, my extensive education and my multi climaxual sexual acrobatics.

Basically, I'm irresistible, so I can easily understand ladies who want my babies the first time they see me.

Correction: you don't convince a stranger to spend the rest or his/her life with you and certainly not want kids with that person.

You meet some one and some how you find that person attractive (beauty, character, the smell, hormones, chemistry or whatever you want to call it) and after some time you know that you want to spend more and more time with that person.
And if you are lucky the other person feel the same.
What I am trying to say is: you can not convince someone to stay with you but you can fall in love with that person and the only thing you want is to stay with him/her.

Of course she is.
She fully realised how wonderful I am and guards me jealously from other women.
Of course, when I talk to women, I have to pretend to be sheepish.

I am not sure what you want: did you choose to be alone or you didn't find the right person yet?
Maybe you expectations are to high (and trust me you are not the only one) of what your ideal partner must be. And therefor difficult to find one.
Or your attitude is locked so you are not easy to approach.

I must say you cannot force someone to love you, especially a stranger, and that's creepy.

Love comes from many aspects such as: mutual feelings, respect, trust and many more. There is no textbook for love. it's different for everyone

As i understand no body can fall in love its a total wrong proverb,how love can make you fall....love always raise....

Attraction draws one person towards another one.Contrary to most people think,many people can fall in love with someone that they have known for a while.She could be the girl that you just met yesterday it's silly but it happens.Most people say is if you are not attractive,it can hurt you a lot in forming a relationship.Try to look cute.However,being too attractive is great advantage though it doesn't help that much.Why? It's because Mother Nature decided it's the best way for humanoids on their way to imitate God to reproduce.

Imagine a planet where reproduction takes place with hate and rape, while love and consent becomes a rarity which must be punished with jail-time.

Reproduction is only one thing but not the main reason.Perhaps in the future people will find another way to reproduce.Science fiction stuff.Then,do people still need to fall in love? Yes? Why?

Because love gives you the ability to expand yourself,feel better and become an effective person.

Hello Mika,

Mother Nature found out that reproduction was the only way to keep life on Earth going.  Period.  Dot. Stop.
Animals just do it blindly.  Humanoids - which are the only creatures able to systematically destroy themselves – took the liberty of taking everything (reproduction included) as it suits them oblivious to the fact they are victims of their own hormones.
By definition, humanoids may make mistakes, but I wonder: can Mother Nature make mistakes too?  Was there any love at all involved when Mother Nature created the rules?

By the way, humanoids already discovered a new way to reproduce: in vitro fertilization in 1978.  Does that finally make them humans?

Yes,I know about that stuff but that is relatively very expensive procedure for an ordinary person.

1). I just said above that animals do it blindly. Why are most of them incapable of finding a partner for life like the humanoids think it's good to do?

2). Great truths are simple.  Implications are multiples of the truth.  People like to complicate things to find their own answer when in fact they forget that the fool is always new while the story is always old and written by Mother Nature.
By all means, love precedes reproduction.

"We" fall in love when in fact we fulfill Mother Nature's (God's, Holy Father's, Creator's) rule.

100% right Sir, but divine love is different than today's love...today love has different path....let me clear this...
Love can be seen in three ways...
First in sex...where both the side have same attitudes...give and take...example husband and wife...also lovers...

Second in Love means here one can be giver and other can be taker and giver is always thankful for acceptance of his/her love to other..example mothers love towards her child...father's love for his children...here giver never expect anything from the taker

Third in Love is when your love flows here neither you are giver not taker......like flower's fragnance can be for anyone..whoever passes near to it,can have the smell,same as trees and other nature's...and for me this is divine love which Jesus spreads on his time,even for his enemies he had love...nature's love towards us

May be i am wrong but this is my view...in other way i can say love cannot be defined...one can only be in love...
