I need a place to stay....LMBO

Post new topic

sirrobcentral

First off let me address the moderators who just love to interrupt any thread where a person wants help in securing a place to live. Most of us Mr./Ms. Moderator have gone to this classified ads you have and have found them to be rippoff. They are designed to prey on unsuspecting expats. So please don't insult my intelligence by suggesting I look there. It is NY belief and understanding that this site was designed in a way that we expats can help each other with first hand information. So unless you are a part of the loop that rips off expats. I would ask you to stand down and allow us to share much needed information on a place to stay.

Now for you fellow expats I ask you this. Where is there an apartment or house I can rent long term?

Because I'm a SUFFER NO FOOLS kind of guy. I ask that you please don't ask me what color my underwear is before telling me of a place you know of for rent. In fact don't ask me anything. If you do not know of a place for rent then by all means please don't reply. If you do then by all means say; "why yes u know of a place it's down the street and it's a 2br 1bath for 300 per month"

See how easy that was. Who cares if I have kids or a wife or if I'm there to work....none of that matters mainly because that info not inky helped me but someone else. So for those of you who feel you need to ask 20 questions just to end up saying to the person that you don't know of anyplace. Is completely ridiculous. I've been reading list where this is common. A person asked a question then everyone ask them all sorts of personal questions and at the end of the day they still have that questions

So please bite tour fingers and DO NOT TYPE...I'm moving to Bali in December. I want a place to stay. If you know of an apartment or a house that is for rent would you please share a little information about it. Such as ( and I really shouldn't have to say this)...How much per month. Its size and the landlords contact info....Please do not post links. I'm not interested in nothing but human contact.

Is this for the Indonesian forum or the thai forum? Because in Indonesia we use rupiah not the thai baht  and your last post on here was about moving to Bali.
So now through all your setting down the rules of what we can and can't do for you have confused us all.

Oh and a simple please or thank you might help as well. Just saying.

sirrobcentral

I was in Thailand. Then moved to the Philippines. Now I'm headed to Bali Indonesia. I'm sorry for any confusion. But wanted information on rupees in that thread.

Thank you so much.

Samhand

If you want help, why so agressive in your post.

Generally i find that asking nicely and suffering the tangentual responses will get you further.

Just saying

I'm not aggressive. I'm simply helping everyone including myself to information that can be given a lot easier than its been given in the past. It never ceases to amaze me how people who are direct and to the point are so easily accused of being rude, aggressive, or downright mean. Um sorry but I'm not trying to soften my question. I should not have to. Just answer it or don't respond. Remember I'm not the only one who wants it answered. There are several who gave attempted to get an answer and they allowed prying questions and they like me are still looking for a place to stay.

So again thank you for confusing this thread with Miss Manners news paper column.

Quite so.
I assume you want to convert between the Indian and Indonesian currencies.
I'm not sure why you'd want to do that; maybe because you have yet to google the basics.
What was that about intelligence?

Why do I suspect you have sod all chance of any help?
Luckily, I also have absolutely no manners at all so I can happily answer in the words of the immortal (maybe) Billy Connerly, "Offski"

You suggest "don't insult my intelligence" and then you write "unless you are a part of the loop that rips off expats" ?

Isn't that insulting the Team and I ?

I'd say so.

Given how useful this excellent forum is for expats; I'd be really pissed off at some bugger having a pop, suggesting you're in to to rip people off.

I don't think that's what he meant. I think you all are being too sensitive about every single word he has written. He's simply complaining about the fact that mods loves to redirect him to another section of this website, when he simply wants to communicate with the members and get answers. There's nothing wrong with that. Why all the unnecessary hostility towards him?

Thank you Steveoy,

I am blown away at the hostility. I don't take it personal though simply because not even the other members have received a straight answer. If they had I would not have posted. These are some very unhappy souls. Again I ask is there a vacancy that anyone is aware of in Bali or its surrounding areas?

steveoy

I don't have any direct answers for you, but your situation got me curious. I hope you don't mind me asking you some personal questions. Why did you move to Thailand? and then the Philippines? and why now you want to move to Bali? Why not Jakarta or Surabaya?

Most people just ask a question, without all the insult and rubbish.
That's why we're not bothered about answering.

An apology may help.

Dear Kind Sir,

Good attitude goes a long way, so no matter where you are going, don't forget to take it with you and whatever bothers you (sometimes) we don't  need to know.

Cheers
