Change of Address on e-ID Card

Hi Guys,

I just picked up my e-ID Card in Valletta and I wanted to change the address on it as I have moved to another flat.

My banker told me they do it on the spot, but to my astonishment they dont do anything. They told me I have to do the whole application again (only with one X at another place). Is that a joke?! Even the tax authorities changed it right away.

Other than that the maltese people working in this place are totally rude and uninterested, they are a disgrace to the normally very friendly and helpful maltese people. Worst place apart from US Immigration.

Anyone knows if there are ways around it, like putting a sticker on the address (that is how its done in germany).

Any advice appreciated.

Funny I even googled for that on the side and didnt find it.

Are they actually more friendly over the phone than in person? ;)
