Hi all,

Following up to the kick-off English/Vietnamese Language Exchange Roundtable, here's our next meeting.

This meeting will be our last one for 2013. We will resume in January.

Date: Sunday, December 15
Time: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: To be determined, probably in District 1 or District 3
Topic: Self-introduction --> favorite hobby

Our meeting on December 7 went well. We had 4 Viet/1 non-Viet. This group could really benefit from more native English speakers who are actively learning Vietnamese. If I'm outnumbered, then I'm going to limit the number of people who can join for each meeting.

RULES:

* Everyone talks, so do your preparation before you come

* No one dominates the conversation. Be fair with speaking time.

* Everyone must come with a basic level of English (if you're Viet) and Vietnamese (if you're non-Viet) speaking skill. If you have a hard time introducing yourself ("my name is," "I'm ___ yr old," etc.) in the language you are studying, then take more language classes before you join or find another group to get your language level up.

* Bring a notebook to write new words and phrases.

Yes, this is open for anyone who wants to practice English or Vietnamese.

Please review the rules I put in my original message. You have to come with a mastery of basic English/Vietnamese in order to participate and be a good contributor to the group.

What a pity I missed the meeting yesterday. Just saw this since I'm new to the forum.

When will be the next meeting? All the update info is only posted in this website or is there any website else that I can easily follow you guys?

I'm Saigon-er and very willing to help foreigners speaking vietnamese, as well as having a chance to practice english with native speakers.

Hope the next meeting will be soon.
