If a doctor gives you 3 pills and tells you to take one pill every half hour, how long would it be before all the pills had been taken

What kind of sickness is this.. I have no idea the which drug to be taken every 30 mnts...
Is it Imodium or some capsule course for diarrhoea condition??
Even overdose of (over 2000mg) vitamin C can create you problems like Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting.. etc
I like to meet this doctor
