Hi guys,

I have a few questions and would be very grateful if you could give me some advice!

Basically my girlfriend is a resident from Switzerland and finally I proposed to her last december. We are planning to get married in May/June this year so I was wondering if it is possible for me to marry in Switzerland with a tourist visa?will I have to go back to Mauritius after the wedding to apply for a visa so I can be with my wife? We just don't want to be apart anymore and fed up of all the travelling etc, we just want to be together. So please help if you can!

Thanks

If you are in Switzerland legally than you should be able to marry.  The local registrar will process your application and inform you of your eligibility.

I don't think marrying in Switzerland on a tourist visa is possible you can try but they will tell you it isn't. We tried the same thing and we're back to square one with this.
