Andria76

Hi Everyone,
My name is Andria and I am a teacher in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. My good friend and colleague Marybeth is teaching in the Kyoto area for the 2014-2015 school year. While she is getting settled and acclimating to her new life and job, I am trying to help by doing some outreach to help her connect to the Ex-Pat community. Marybeth is American, but has also lived in Germany, and speaks German. She is very interested in meeting new friends to explore Japan, learn about the culture, and watch soccer games/football games! I am looking forward to visiting Kyoto in the spring, and perhaps will meet some of you then.

Andria :)

Hey there,
I am Jerome from France.

In Tokyo since 2006, and working in design/IT/advertisement.
I am kind of used to life here now, with enough japanese language *to put myself in trouble*, as I like to say :D
Here to discuss expat topics, and maybe help newcomers in Japan (Kanto area) if I can.

宜しくです!

amiraryan

hi
can you tell me how much is the average living cost ?

remuka

Well, that's a pretty open question... I guess it depends a lot on where you are living, if you are single or where your family, and what would you consider to be a good enough living standard.

It might be a bit off-topic here, so I'll create a new thread for that.

rajushahi

i am from nepal. i am also like a japanese culture.

AlesB

mandradep

Hi! I'm really interested in going to study Medicine in Japan. Thing is I don't know if I'll be studying in Japanese or they have courses in English too? And what is the attitude of japanese people toward foreigns?

Thank you!

Mirelladubon

Hello!  I am not sure you can find a medical university in english, maybe no, about how is the japanese personality, they are shy with foreigner  and  not with an open mind about us.

I live here since 2008, I am happy but it is difficult, still I am not good in the japanese language because I am always busy working and maybe not good in learning languages any more.

The only way  for study is asking for an scholarship  on the contrary will be really expensive.

Good luck!  Hope you can have your dreams!
