Hi, I just completed 1st year of my 3 year contract.

It was a wrong job placement, so the relationship with my management has never been codial.
After some heated arguement, I asked whether I can exit from the country.

They agreed with that and my exit formalaties are underway.
Shoud I be causious with their procedures? Could they clasify it as sacking me from the job and prevent me from entering KSA or GULF in the future.

Please reply soon, my time is running out too badly.

As far as I know employers no longer have the ability to prevent you from coming back to KSA with a new visa after you formally end your employment with them, few years ago the embassies of KSA used to request clearance from your former employer but I'm pretty sure thats not applicable anymore, and even if they still do so in KSA it doesn't apply to the rest of the gulf countries.

Technically, if you are hired for a new job outside the kingdom you need nothing from your former employer.

You should, to make things easier, ask for a Letter of No Contest.

If they won't give it to you, it's really no big deal any more.

As per my information, if u go back ur country on Final Exit then u can come back on next day on new visa, if ur employer enrolls u in the blacklist than u cannot come back (I think in this case u have to wait 5 years).

Secondly, if u go on exit re-entry and do not come back then u have two options to come back either u have to furnish NOC (No Objection Certificate) to Saudi Embassy in ur country at time of obtaining new visa or u have to wait in ur country until ur Iqama date will not be expired.

At last, ur employer cannot do anything, if u go any other gulf region.

Thanks for all, I feel much comfort now with all of your information.
