Not that much opportunity here for people without an education degree. Everyone in India thinks that they know how to speak English already.

If you want to teach ESL, you will need a CLETA/TEFL/TESOL certificate and a bachelors degree. You will also need clear, clean, non-chutnified, written and spoken English. The places to look are in Southeast Asia. The first job may be a little difficult because they are looking for the European faces but once you have some experience and credentials, you will be fine and you can expand your options a lot.

The current hot markets are China and Korea but Vietnam and Thailand are popular too. China is probably the easiest because there is no way to fill the demand. Be careful of scams, do not pay for jobs and no proper visa don't go.
