Hi I have adopted 2 street dogs since we have been here, they are both so loving one now aged 2 years and one now 1 year.

They never had a days illness and so so loving :)

The one important thing I would say is as soon as your puppy reaches 6 months old then please get it sterilised, this
is really important.

There are puppies everywhere on the Island and there are 3 shelters, all have a Facebook page:
1. MSPCA - one in Port Louis and one in Rose Hill-  464 5084 /  466 7154
2. SOS (Save our Strays) Based at many areas around the Island.  5798 5045.
3. PAWS 5727 5365 - 2 shelters

Go along to one of the above, take your children and have a play, the one that will be suitable for you will search you out :)

Good luck, you will be so happy with your Mauritian dog, friends who have returned to the UK, have told me they have adapted exceptionally well to our UK winter and very easy to take back to UK as no quarantine needed :)
