I suggest you look at backpackers, guesthouses or bed and breakfast places online. Gives you a base to work from until you can find something more suited.

When you finally get there I suggest you also find the expat hangouts, clubs, bars etc to find out about long term accommodation.

Looks like I have organised an apartment in two weeks... Thanks again for your help !! Looking forward to getting over there now !!
