Britain’s prime minister, David Cameron, said on Tuesday that he did not see any point to an additional investigation into the release of the convicted Lockerbie bomber from a Scottish prison last year, maintaining that such an inquiry would only confirm his belief that the release was ill-advised and wrong.

“It was the biggest mass murder in British history, and there was no business letting him out of prison,” Mr. Cameron said.

Yeah I have been following this one. The tw@t Cameron should keep his mouth shut. Thing is it is a devolved parliament in Scotland, so this is what happened - Yanks blamed the Brits, the British Parliament said 'it wasn't us' and pointed the finger to Scotland, who I have no doubt acted without Westminster consultation on this .

It was wrong, fcking wrong big time, that Megrahi was released at all.

Get off your high horse Clansman, it was Broon and his buddies who dropped their pants to Bush which resulted in this. Cameron might be a tosser but he was still cycling to to work when this deal was cut.

I agree totally that Brown was at fault, but he then pointed the finger of blame at Holyrood and tried to claim westminster innocence, BP deal done soon after coincidence, I think not.

If anyone truly believes that Megrahi was anything other than a scapegoat, then they are naive IMO.

The tosser Cameron should have kept his mouth shut, but as a typical lackey (as all British goverments have been since, dare I say it Thatcher))to the Yanks he couldn't.

Talk about beating a dead horse....Now all this hallowbalue about it.  The Americans are just mad that they are missing out on some nice contracts and the Brits are playing the blame game.  Woulda, coulda, shoulda, etc... is a bit late now.  He won't be going back, that is for sure.  As for his guilt, I have no idea, but it is not as if he is prancing around the seashore living it up.

USA + UK + LIBYA = LIES AND CORRUPTION

They released Lockerbie bomber ,  replaced him with big contract in Libya trough Bp company which now facing investigation in USA ,
Lockerbie bomber 'set free for oil'  it's the deal
Gordon Brown’s government made the decision after discussions between Gadafi and BP over a multi-million-pound oil exploration deal had hit difficulties. These were resolved soon afterwards
USA very angry at Uk , because US  got no contract in Libya oil,

while  UK  got biggest  contract trough Bp petrol company
,BP Faces Big Losses as Gulf Oil Disaster Worsens in USA,
and this company got the biggest contract in Libya sea

and i think the disaster in mexico bay made by USA government to make this company pay ,

CORRUPTION / CORRUPTION / CORRUPTION
