PDO Labor clearance

After clearing the interview they are giving the Offer letter and within same week medical so there is no chance for not selected.
But as they are talking so much time, so what does it mean?
Are they checking our patience or they do not have proper mobilization plan in place. ?

Aravind.. Don't think this delay is deleberate..it seems it's even out of PDO control.. One could argue that  company should obtain govt approval for a position before they hire ... But here the process is other way around ...

Interviewed in may, got offer on August, documents submitted to LC on October.
I am just worried if it's not done before new school academic year begins. Then it will be complicated.

Melzein..yes .. School admission is the key issue.... If LC not obtained this month , probably we can expect only in August as Ramadan  starts in middle of June ....guess things will be very slow during Ramadan ...

Sorry for late post. I received visa on 6th may. But there was a small mistake. My passport issue year was printed as 2014 instead of 2015. It needs to be corrected. Can anyone give me advice regarding this? How many days does it require to be corrected?

for me i got the offer in the same days after interview even i pass the doctor and give the fit, they ask me to do some medical in dubai outside because they say that we need you ASAP,  pdo they ask me please do go to other empoyer while the interview and because i worked for pdo before and i know shell/pdo procedure, i do not think they will replace me to other, maybe is not good planification! Or maybe they haven't accommodation for family!
i think we need to wait because maybe just last month they apply for our LC.

Haha ... Me too ...but there is a little hope.. As per Sora agent , we can expect some good news this week ...

I don't know if we need more than 6 months in our passports to get visa or no, because for my kids all passports expired on november 24th

I think you better inform HR once LC is obtained and before submitting documents for visa

Yes, they ask me to renewal the passports, again problems, the passports take around 2 months.
but no response from them regarding the LC, they response only to the question on the passports issues

They seem to be quite again about the LC and visa. But at least we know they can read our mails as they have replied to your query.

nothing man..situation is getting frustrating really.

It's the day that I make assumptions,
For this week I am assuming no more approvals to be granted until an agreed number of Omani employments is reached, which is not going to happen soon as they have to do training first.
Is that positive or negative assumption?

i recieved this mail below 30 mn before, maybe some hope.

Please accept our sincere apology for the delay in obtaining your LC due to reasons beyond our control (government approval). However, I would like to confirm that your LC application has been submitted to the authorities and yet to be obtained, we anticipate the process to be much faster than before since we've recently obtained a step out for our submissions. At this stage we unfortunately still unable to provide you with a timeline. Again, we appreciate your patience, we'll keep you posted on the progress upon receiving an update.

   I have small query i have been waiting for muscat visa since 5 months, today my HR sent me a screen shot of Sultanate of Oman Royal Oman police website, in that website indicating all my visa application numbers and other details too, Application Status column showing as "VISA IS READY FOR COLLECTION" .....    Please let me know is really my visa got ready? or they are simple they are rolling time with this..

Hi muddukrishna4u,

'Visa is ready for collection' means that the visa is ready for collection.

So the sponsor has to collect the visa and pass it on to the employee.

If the visa is ready for collection then there should be no furthers delay.

None man. I sent them an email, but no response. Another week of waiting is finished. By next month it will be more slower as it is Ramadan so maybe we can get something by July or August (guessing).

Since ur agent got a positive response last week , I would expect to hear some good news before the start of Ramadan ... We can only hope for the best ....

its Thursday..its depressed mode again.

I remain hopeful for the weeks to come.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Sunday is a holiday, so earliest word will be Monday.

I did hear the head of First Impressions has been out this week and is going to MoM next week. Hopefully to pickup a stack of LCs. Of course, all taken with a grain of salt like everything else we hear.

I got response from PDO yesterday that I Can expect my LC begning of  next week... Hope many of us will hear good news soon...
