Hi I'm going to Brussels as an exchange student.
I'm planning to live in Brussels(Also considering Ixelles) for 5 months with a roommate : )

I've been looking up on how much it will cost (including RENT! I'm thinking 300~400 Euros for rent.)

My school says it will cost about 800 Euros
Some internet site says it will cost 500 Euros for only groceries!
A blogger says it will cost about 650 Euros..

I was wondering what you guys think it will cost for a student to live in Brussels!

It depends entirely upon what you plan to spend your money on and the rent you can find.

The cheapest student housing would be a shared room, you would really struggle to find an inclusive rent of less than 300 euro per month, expect a decent place to cost up to 500 euro on a house/apartment share.

Then your public transport, for a month's pass, 50 euro. Or you could walk or cycle for free.

Then your food. basic food eating little or no meat and being exceptionally frugal, you're looking at 120 euro per month for an adult, most adults will spend much more.
