Tonight I will check out the Hilton Mangaf for dance classes. Because it seems like the expats in this blog gave up the idea of group dance classes
Deniz did you end up going to those dance classes? How was it? My and my partner have been talking recently about taking up some classes. Don't want anything too expensive though.
I need to complete the group for 14 people, and now we are only 7. So I am still waiting.
Hi guys,
I searched for dance classes in Kuwait and couldn't find something good for advanced dancers. Basically everything was for beginners except for one class at the Corniche Club in Shaab. The problem is they require a full year membership to join the classes. At the other clubs and hotels dance classes are all 5 KD for an hour.
The good news is that I can offer classes for Bachata dance if anyone is interested. I studied bachata for three and a half years both in Turkey and the US. By the way Bachata is similar to salsa.
It will only be 2 KD per person for an hour. We can have the class in the basement of my house on Tuesday nights. It will begin in two weeks and I am looking forward to having at least 10 people. We need a good mix of girls and guys.
Let me know who is interested, so we can make a schedule. If we have enough people then I will arrange to give you the address.
Deniz

Finally I have found out details about latin dance classes. The classes will begin when the group is completed (at least 14 people). It is located in Salmiya and named La Baguette Dance Studio. It will include salsa, cha-cha and merengue. It will be twice in a week except for dance parties. And the price is 35 KD.
Who wants to join?
Please send me your e-mail addresses with your messages, too!
Regards,
Deniz
Well I am interested in learning the salsa but I am quite bad in dancing. By the way how many people are in so far ??? email: bipinb86@hotmail.com
@Brahmz: There are 9 people so far. Can you please send me your contact number and full name, so I can call you when the schedule is ready!
@Everyone: Hey guys! Something urgent has come up, and I am travelling to Turkey tonight! I will be back in a month or so. If you are interested in bachata classes please send me your contact number and your email address, so as soon as I am back I will call you for the new schedule. Take care!
Deniz
I've wanted to learn Latin, Im freestyle trained but would be interested if you decide to get a group together
I'd love to Deniz... but you know my schedule is crazy... if you're ever doing anything on the weekends though, count me in
Hi everybody! Before we begin to the dance classes, I'd like to have a meeting with everyone who wants to join the classes! Maybe we can just have a cup of coffee and talk about the details. So here is the information about the meeting:
October 30th 2010, Saturday
16:30 Avenues, Caribou Coffee
Hope to see you there!
Take care,
Deniz
Denizkizi: zero start for me! But am in if its weekends!
We will talk all the details in the meeting guys! Let's see if we can find an appropriate time for everybody! So it is better to come to the meeting first! Looking forward to seeing you there!
Hi everybody!
The meeting for bachata classes will take place at Caribou Cafe in the Avenues at 4:30 today!
Hope to see you there!
Deniz
the first session was spectacular, the instructor is downright heavenly and lovely, and with what basic moves i was able to pick up, i shall enthrall the ladies on my vacation starting next saturday.
that being said, it really was an amazing class, full of fun-loving people (btw we need more women to be interested in this!), the most important thing is to leave your sense of pride @ home. you will dance, infront of a mirror, you will look silly, but the end result will be worth it.
i found out which dance i'll be doing at my wedding, BACHATA!
Deniz, Tesekur Ederim
Thank you Ayman! I am happy to here that you enjoyed it!I had a great time, too! So you are going on a vacation now for the Eid?
Hi everybody!
Thank you for coming last week! It was so much fun! I hope you had a great time, too!
For those who couldn't make it last week, I will have another new class on Saturday, November 13th, at 6:00 pm. It will last one hour, and at 7:00 pm we will go on with the second session. if you are interested please let me know until Friday so that I can make the arrangements.
The bachata classes are only 5 KD per an hour and here is the address:
British Institute of Vocational Training (BIVT)
Salmiya, Block 3, Street 5, Building 3.
You can send your emails to kuwaitbachataclub@gmail.com.
Hope to see you there!
