Living in Beijing with fish allergy?

Post new topic

Sam_721

Hi everybody  :) ,

I'm new here in this forum.
I have the opportunity to work on an german/chinese project which lasts one or two years.
Therefor I had to stay one month in Bejing, two months in Germany... and so on.

My problem is a really bad fish allergy, including least amount of fish (even skincontact with fishoil or things like that).
How about the food in Beijing?
I know they don't use and cook fishproducts a often as in the japan or thai area.
But do I really have a chance to get around?
I only speak german and english - I can't explain my problem in mandarin.

Has anybody experience in that?

Thank you!

Manlin

I am not a chef and in fact have trouble finding the kitchen (my poor wife though lets me wash the dishes)

To the best of my knowledge most things do not use fish oil.

Suggest you get someone to write for you a note in Chinese that says you are allergic and that you cannot eat anything thing that contains even the smallest bit of fish or fish oil.

If you want to pm me an email address I can do it for you
