Hi Arlette, thanks for your feed back its nice to find someone here. hope we can meet also with you. I am here because my husband working here in Dubai. so then all andrews family come along here. so far i didnt find anyone here in dubai for chat or meet yet, while my daughter n I already here almost three month n we felt homesick because not yet find a friend to talk too. and my daughter not yet start school here because here they have long summer holiday n will start soon in sept. Lucky I find this Expat.com then i trying to Introduce my self hope from this forum i find one or may be a lot of friends. so thanks you n hope see you again sometime.

So I also followed my husband here but it's my second time in UAE! I was here between 1975 and 1980.
So how old is your daughter? I have a daughter of nearly 23 who lives with us in Ras al Khaimah.
I hope you'll make some nice contacts here on Expat.com. Dubai's forum is organizing regularly meet ups now which might be a good way to make friends. Just check out the latest discussions and you'll find out.
