Hi,

I'm also new in Malta. I'm French (26 years old).

I'd like to meet people, I don't necessary want to wait a weekly, monthly meeting etc...so if you're interested in meeting me, send me a pm or tell me here (anytime). I'm a really open minded person, and I love to meet new people no matter which country they come from. It could be for anything (drink, beach, party, walk etc...).

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I'm just finding this thread now, but moved to Malta (Sliema) in March and was feeling the same need for meeting more people as all of you. I'm looking forward to next week's get together. Thanks for organizing!

And in the meantime, I work from home and am getting a bit sick of myself! If any of you in the general Sliema and extended area are in the same boat and want to grab a midday coffee during the week, or want a running partner in the evenings (once the heat has died down!) hit me up!!

Hey.
I moved here in March too. I'm heading back to the UK on Monday for a week and then returning with no children as they are staying with their grandparents for 10 days so will have lots of free time to meet for a coffee or a wine if you'd like. :-)

Nange

Amanda-
I've been here 7 months and have met exactly 3 other Canadians and 1 American. We are few and far between ;). See you all on Thursday- looking forward to meeting the new folks.
I have quite a bit of free time this week if you want to grab that coffee. I also swim at the Exiles early in the morning or after 7pm if anyone wants to join me.  Fiona

I am a bit further out in Mellieha, but also work at home, so coffee is good sometimes :-)

I am often in other parts of the island for different reasons, frequently St julians area.

PM me if you fancy getting together

I will hopefully also get there next Thursday

Where abouts kerrie?

socialwhirl

I think its still tbc  :)

OK everyone, good to see we have some new newbies!

The location will be the Road Devil seafront kiosk on Tower Road in Sliema. Facebook link below:

acebook.com/pages/The-road-devil-seafront/599221140168846

I think I'm right in saying that it's between Mason's café and Compass lounge??

I'm reliably informed that they're pretty good with stuff like moving chairs and tables around for groups etc, which suits us.

See you all there!

Nange

Sounds good!
8pm ish??

Kerry_75

Oops! Yes, I forgot the time!!

Shall we say from 7.30 since it's a week day and people will probably want to leave relatively early, as they have work? I'll try to be there at 7.30 anyway

tujgieu

I only arrive Wednesday but I'll do my best to get there pending on the jetlag. ..I maybe asleep...otherwise I'll catch you all next time :)

Monalisa73

Hi everyone. I'm coming to Malta on 13th August on a 2 month trial to living there. I'd love to meet up with some other British expats living in Malta. Can you tell me when and where the next meeting will be. Thanks

Monalisa73

I'm coming to malta on 13th August for 2 months and I'd love to meet up with you and see how your enjoying it. I'll be staying by the sliema ferries point in Valletta but sliema is better I think to meet up. Maybe Tonys Bar? I will be travelling alone so wish to meet many new people. Please message me

tujgieu

Hello I intend to walk early and swim at St pauls bay if you want to join me you'd be welcome :)

tujgieu

Hi amanda I'm living in mosta but am looking at early morning walk and or swim at St pauls bay if your interested or a coffee after?

Hi there!

I know this was posted a while ago, however me and my partner are moving to Malta from the UK on 12th September and really want to meet new people :). We are in our twenties and love socialising-

We are moving to Bugibba but are happy to meet in different areas, in fact that would be great as we would love to see different areas of the island!

Anyone who would be up for meeting or if anyone knows of any social clubs/ groups please let me know :)

As you be up that way you should go to the music bar in mellieha not far from where you will. Be great crowd of brits go there and great owner to. there are plenty places to go party and malta is great for Visiting Top Dj nights. Iv seen some quality acts here and some crazy nights to. Has the best of both worlds relaxation and partying if you want to sometimes. I always avoid paceville mainly because it full of tourists. Young Guys who just wana fight. There are plenty of great places to go and meet people around our ages. I came here knowing no one and have a great bunch f friends here now. Two of which are english rest are maltese and from other countries. Diverse friendships here which is great.

good luck with the move

We are a dutch couple 31 and 40 years old.. That's young for the expats here in Gozo 😋 we live close to Victoria and would love to go for a drink sometimes with other people. So if you're ever on the island and like to catch up, let me know.

Hey everyone,  I'm on the count down now until I get there on 24th September, will be staying in Qawra for a start so anyone that's near please do give me a shout for walks, swims,  coffee and of course wine! Xxx

Kerry_75

Maybe we should have a meet up 'up north' since that's where you newbies seem to be heading?! I would be happy to do that one evening

tujgieu

Hi I'm living in malta and not working at least for now so am keen to do walks swims coffee and of course drinks. Feel free to contact me when you arrive :)

tujgieu

Hello anyone in mosta keen to socialise would like to make new female friends? I'm an aussie

Kittyzeg

Hi Flow, I don't live in Mosta unfortunately. But I've lived in NSW for many years and miss Australia for sure. If you ever wanna go for a coffee or a chat, I can come to Malta if you like. Hope you enjoy it here

tujgieu

That would be awesome. I would love to come to gozo soon but the buses r atrocious atm. Where is a good place to meet up easy to get home from bus...only been here a month, seems easy enough to get to places but coming home is a nightmare. Have been sticking close to bugibba as the terminal is there and I always can get a bus. Look forward to meeting you...my boyfriend and I will be spending a few days in gozo next week or 2 also. Look forward to meeting you!

Kittyzeg

Buses are not the best for sure. I have a car and came to Malta easy 2
Next week my husband (also lived in Aussie) is back home in Gozo from work overseas, so if you are on the island and want to go for a coffee or a drink. Just let me know, would be nice to meet some new people!

tujgieu

My email is ++++ don't have phone credit let me know when you'd like to come to malta and we could do lunch and swim. Otherwise I'll let you know when I know when we r in gozo. Yay!

Hi,

Hope everyone is well!

Just seeing if anyone on this thread or anyone else reading it would be up for going for a few drinks on Saturday the 19th, before Christmas, somewhere in the Sliema area.

I spoke to a couple of other people from this thread the other day who are keen so if you're interested comment on here or send me a PM and we can arrange a time/place etc.

Cheers,

Andrew

Chrisalansmith

Well this seems like a fun post, I'll throw my hat in the ring. My names John, I'm coming over to Malta (for the first time) for a week in February in order to at least find the area I want to live, then I'm back in march/April to move for good. I got back to the UK a year ago after living and working in Texas for 10 years. When I first got to Texas in 2004 I was like probably a lot of other, I worked from my apt and was becoming something of a recluse. Took me a while to acclimatize, weather here in UK not too good so looking forward to starting again in Malta. So that's me, I love dogs but won't be bringing any and will spend most of my time writing and hopefully socializing.

If you are free on Christmas eve, I would recommend you head to Valletta for the the annual and traditional Christmas Eve Concert by the Malta Police Force band.
