Can Debit cards be sent to the US Embassy

Post new topic

Hey there! New to this community but I am hoping I can find some info here. I was robbed on a chicken bus two days ago. They got my passport, debit card, and almost all my money except my stash i had of $100. I am having a friend send a new debit card out today but I cant seem to find anywhere if I can have it sent to the Embassy if they would sign for it or not? Does anyone know?

James

You'd have to contact the Embassy in person to find out. Not many of them are likely to be willing to accept that responsibility and probably wouldn't accept a delivery that arrived unexpectedly. You have a much better chance if you have prearranged something with them.

Thank you so much for the quick response! Do you know if the US Embassy in Guatemala has a 1-800 number? I can't call any number that isn't a toll free and can't seem to find a 1-800
