if both parents are working and paying tax then goverment does cover a certain amount of your childcare fee
though i think that it doesn't cover completely monthly expenses in private nursery

as for state nursery, if you manage to get in, the the max ammount you can pay is 150e p/m, and if you are both working then it will be free

If your child is registered at a government school, they can start kinder from age 2 years and 9 months, and it will be free. (You will have to pay for uniform and copy books, etc). And parents will have to have residence cards.
