Family moving to Madrid.

Post new topic

Umaima

Hi all,

We are a family of 5 (3 small children) looking to move to Madrid from Cork (Ireland). I am originally from Madrid  however, my husband is Irish and speaks a really poor Spanish. Now I've been doing some research and there are not many job ads, apart from teaching, for non Spanish speakers (understandably enough).
My question goes to non Spanish speakers over 35 years old (if any):
How long did it take you to find a job? What kind of job was it?

I would really appreciate any advise.
Thanks in advance

Hi there,

You have several international companies, IBM, for instance, the hire many non Spanish speakers, for many purposes, such as customer service, book keeping and more.

Many of these companies uses Manpower and Adecco for their staff hiring, so it could be an idea for you to contact these agencies in Madrid directly.

Took me about a month.

Best Regards and good luck
