Hi guys,

Hope your all doing well. Just wanted to ask if anyone on here has worked or is working for Ertyad-Scholastic as a teacher. If so how has your experience been and also what is the one advice you'd give to someone moving to Riyadh for the first time?

Thank you in advance to all those who reply.

Shilpa.

Dear,

- Everyone has personal tastes, preferences and priorities.

- Riyadh is nowhere near a typical western city. It's a typical Arabian environment where they have their own culture and values applied. As a residence, we use to follow and respect them as anyone should do to local values anywhere in the world.

-If someone is not targeting them to blow away, Riyadh is a peaceful and quite city by environment. Social gathering are generally limited but it depends on the persons. You can create your own social circle and if the accommodation is in a compound, you have all the tools for it as well.

-Traffic is like any big cosmopolitan city. However, a huge metro train project is under construction (finish time should be around next 4 years) which should dilute the most traffic issues.

-Riyadh is a city of huge malls. There are hardly any international shopping brands you wouldn't be able to find here.

-Cost of living depends on you. Generally, if saving is target, Saudi Arabia is a good choice. Now it depends on you how much you wanna spend /save. Limited social activities generally plays a big part in savings.

- Ertyad-Scholastic: I don't have any experience with them. In fact, have heard their name for the first time. But I have visited the website and according to what I saw, they seems to be a nice place to work.

Any more specific questions? Feel free to throw here. People here are mostly friendly and will not hesitate to share their experiences and knowledge /helping you out.

HTH...

Khurram.
