Hello! I ma planning to travel from hanoi to Xam Neua in Laos. Would you know a reputable car company with driver to recommend? Would you also know how long the drive is and an idea of the cost? Many thanks.

There some transportation company which has driver experiences on that route.
It is about 300 km from Hanoi to Na Meo border gate (it takes 6-7hrs drive), generally it cost about less 200$.
Crossing border, you can get a bus to Xam Neua, it is 90km from border gate
