What do you usually do on your weekends in Karnataka?

Are there any places to visit, any activities, any events or festivals regularly organized you would like to recommend?

What are your top tips for the weekend in Karnataka?

This post is really old. But I'm new here so...

Well, if you're around the Mangalore region you have a lot to do, you've got multiple nature reserves such as Kudremukh, Agumbe and Someshwara. A 3 hour trip from Manipal can lead you to Shivmogga, home of the Jog falls. You've got multiple beaches in the region, the most famous of them being Kaup (pronounced Kapu) & Malpe. Along with them, there is Penambur, Hoode, Padubidri, Surathkal, Marawanthe and more. A short distance from Hoode, there's a delta. Murdeshwar is a famous temple/pilgrimage town at a distance of 3 hours from Udupi.

Northeast of Karnataka, there is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hampi, a must visit.
