Could somebody please explain me why people are complaining that its hard to find a friend here ? And everybody ask to be notified about an event. But nobody organizes one ? :)
And this is happening not only on this forum but in most expats forums .
I am not blaming any one . I am really trying to understand . Is it because some cultural mater I am not familiar with ?
Will be glad for some explanations. I am confused

Hi all,

I am from french and I arrived 2 weeks ago to work. I am going to stay in Singapore for at least one year.
If you are interested to meet up, let me now, I am very interested in meeting new people and to share :)

so See you soon

genadyc..organization of events require lots of effort. Communication with multiple ppl who will give answers like maybe and even those that say yes might not turn up at the last minute. I know cause i've done it before. Not too keen on doing it again.  But dont let me put you off, perhaps you may have better luck. :)
In any case, there is this group called sporeexpat connections that organize pub and club events about once a month.

I second you genadyc, untill we decide on a place to meet up we might end up adding new members like me to this thread... all wanting to network. Thanks for the info Jaz83, would try the fb group as well :)
