I've heard Ha Tien Vegas Casino, which lies on Cambodian side of the border next to Ha Tien,  is in a Special Economic Zone where no Visa is required. Is this true? I have only a single entry visa, would like to visit the casino and make or loose some moola, before returning back into Vietnam. Possible???

Dang! Just heard it went bankrupt few years ago ... oh well, better them than me :)  ..... What about Ho Tram Strip Casino near Vung Tau ... anyone been there?

Hi Tony, head down to Ho Tram Strip. There's a free bus that departs from the Kumho Asiana Plaza in Dist. 1 daily.  Check the website: www.thegrandhotramstrip.com for bus departures and room bookings.
There are special room rates if you sign up to the loyalty program too.  If you're planning on heading down on the weekend, book early because standard rooms run out quick on Friday and Sturday nights.
this weekend is the Wet Party by the pool:  DJ's, bikini contest, free flow bar etc.

See ya there!

The Ha Tien Vegas Casino has re-opened.It re-opened earlier this year, after being closed for about 2 years. The gaming floor is now housed in a new building to the side of the main hotel, and offers slot machines,Roulette,Baccarat, and 2 Chinese card games that I can't remember the names of.There's also accommodation,a bar and restaurant.I believe that the plan is to reopen the whole original building if it proves financially viable. As regards the visa situation,I think it might be possible to simply visit without getting stamped out,and without the need for a Cambodian visa, but I wouldn't bet on it.
