Dear Sir,
Which one of the 2 consumes more data (Mbps) THAN the other ?
1- Live streaming
OR
2- Down loading

More or less it would depend on the bandwidth of the file.

Which one 'll consume more Mbps data if using STC or Mobily network :
Downloading a movie 740Mb
OR
Live streaming of a cricket match ?
Without knowing their bandwidths.

Basically, downloading and watching streaming online are the same. They download/stream file to your computer which consumes bandwidth. The only difference is if you download a 720p movie or if you watch streaming in 480p then definitely you'll consume more in downloading a 720p higher reso.

Both are interrelated.

Technically:
Streaming = partial download + play (+ purge).

So streaming requires more of LIVE bandwidth (Mbps) and your connection may prove as bottleneck. The trade-in we do then is to exchange time; waiting for the file to download and then watch without glitches. But if you have a sparkling fast connection, why wait? Just stream...!

I was trying to equate what was good value for money .
A local ISP is offering following packages:
1- SR999 4GBundle , 20GB/month 12months
2- SR2650 25GB 12months (unlimited)
I do not down load but mostly stream Talkshows.
Which package would you reckon preferable, w/o knowing the bandwidths on each package.

Both look like they have caps on data (#2 is 25gb? ). 20-25gb is not a lot if you stream videos and/or downlaod movies.
Streaming/downloading will use lots of data, so go for STC unlimited (truly unlimited), all others are capped.
