St. Clare School Supplies Question

OK.  Here are some questions regarding school supplies.

I am not sure what some of these items are and for what they are used.  I would appreciate input from primary parents.

Apron -- I guess this is for art.  Is this absolutely necessary for class?  My children haven't used them since preschool.

1. Kartoncin -- What are they?

2. Cushion -- What kind of cushion is this and what is its use?

3. Colours -- Crayons or markers?

4. Lunch bag -- The form states it must be a lunch bag and not a paper bag or a plastic bag.  Do they mean a soft lunch box?

5. Are there any recommended places to buy school supplies (copybooks and others)?

Thank you!

Hi
My daughter is going into year 2 at Pembroke primary.
Kartoncin is coloured card - my Maltese work colleagues told me!
The colours in year 1 were specified as wax but arent this time, so I got pencil crayons.
No idea about a cushion - never seen it on a list.
The lunch bag is a soft insulated bag with a handle
I got a long sleeved apron for art last year, but its too hot for in the summer.
Most stationers will supply all they need - theres a new big store near kiabi/burger king Qormi thats pretty good too
I got school bags (which need to be adult size to fit everything in), water bottles, lunch bags & white trainers from sports direct - it was much cheaper & delivers in 3/4 days.
Label everything & have ice packs for the lunch bags as the classrooms are warm.
Hope that helps
Michelle
