Hi All - just wanted to introduce myself.  We are coming for a vacation in December, but are also planning a move to San Pedro in 2 years when we retire.  Can't wait!  I look forward to meeting other ex-pats here, your posts have been very helpful.

Welcome, you could not have picked a better place to retire.  I love it!!

Thank you, Leeaust and Julien!  I just hope the next 2 years go by fast.  Belize seems like a very special place, with wonderful people.

Hi! Have you been to Belize before? We've from California as well.. The climate is so nice now but still bring a light sweater

Thanks for the tip!  I was wondering about the weather...We have never been to Belize, this December will be our first time.  This trip will be our fact finding mission, and i'm sure we'll be back many times before the big move in 2 years.

We have been here in Belize for 2 months now and love it here.  We are in Belmopan though and haven't seen the area you are hoping to move to.  Best wishes!

Jan will make our 5 year anniversary in Belize and I can still remember the days of the 2 year wait for us to move here.

You must be getting very excited for your trip.

OMG Taco Girl, you have no idea!  The hardest part is, I have MAJOR short-timer's disease here at work.  I am turning into a terrible slacker, except where my Belizean research is concerned.  I have probably been to every website on the internet regarding Ambergris Caye.  Thank God I have the internet at work ;)

Thanks Alida!  Where did you live before you moved to Belmopan?  Did your friends and family think you were crazy to move to a small country in Central America?  Ours certainly do.  I'm so glad to hear your first 2 months are going so well :)
